As part of the skillup! Project activities funded by WHH and BMZ, MADAM has, on Friday, the 4th of July 2025, provided support to three Youth Vegetable farming groups in Bombali district: Green Agricultural for Sustainable Environment, Local Harvest Producers, and Promise Land Youth Development Association in Bombali district.
This intervention aims to enhance income generation, youth employability, and boost food and nutrition security.
The support package included essential farming tools and improved and adaptable vegetable seeds tailored to each group’s specific needs. These resources are designed to enhance productivity, improve post-harvest handling, and encourage climate-smart farming practices.
The project manager, Dawson John Kamara, reaffirms MADAM’s commitment to transforming agriculture into a viable and sustainable livelihood for Young people in Sierra Leone.
The groups expressed gratitude for the timely support, noting that it will significantly improve their farming activities and overall yields this season.
This effort aligns with the government's broader FEED Salone agenda.
