MADAM – Sierra Leone, with support from Bread for the World through the Civil Peace Service Project, in its continued effort to fight against drug abuse, has supported the ACTION FOR THE REHABILITATION OF DRUG VICTIMS (ARDV), a Kush rehabilitation centre in Makeni.
The support included assorted food items (rice, gari, palm oil, maggi, sugar, and more) and sanitary materials (assorted soap, cleaning detergents, laundry bowls, buckets, and more) for victims undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
This intervention aims to strengthen ongoing community based recovery efforts and ensure that individuals affected by substance abuse receive not only medical and psychological care but also the basic necessities that promote dignity and healthy living.
MADAM remains committed to complementing government and community efforts in addressing the rising challenge of drug abuse among young people and helping them reintegrate into society as productive citizens.
