MADAM has officially commenced the planting of 35,000 trees across Bombali and Tonkolili districts. This initiative is part of our unwavering commitment to environmental conservation and community resilience.
The tree planting exercise, which kicked off on June 12, 2025, brought together local authorities, community leaders, and volunteers. The campaign aims not only to restore degraded lands but also to foster a culture of environmental stewardship among residents.
This project reflects our belief that environmental protection is closely tied to community development.
Speaking at the event, the regional manager of the Environmental Protection Agency, Sheku Sillah, emphasized the importance of this tree planting initiative and commended MADAM for such efforts. "Every tree planted today is an investment in the future of our communities and our planet. Together, we can make a lasting impact for generations to come," he stated.
The project manager, Mr. Mohamed Kamara, invites everyone in the various communities to actively participate in nurturing these trees to maturity. With collective effort, MADAM can ensure that this campaign not only meets its targets but also transforms the landscape and lives within these districts.
